How to Connect Claude to Realastat

Realastat is the first real estate platform with a native Claude MCP integration. Once connected, Claude has live access to your deal portfolio and can pull underwriting data, run what-if scenarios, and search your pipeline using plain English. You do not copy-paste numbers. You do not switch tabs. You just ask.

Here is how to set it up in under 5 minutes.

What you need before starting

  • A Realastat account (free plan works)
  • A Claude subscription at claude.ai (Pro or higher)
  • One analyzed deal in your Realastat portfolio so you have something to test with

Step 1: Open Claude settings

Go to claude.ai and sign in. Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner, then select Settings. Navigate to the Connectors tab.

๐Ÿ“ธScreenshot placeholder: Claude.ai interface showing the Settings panel open, with the Connectors tab selected. The panel should show an 'Add Custom Connector' button or similar. Use the actual Claude UI if possible.
Open Claude Settings and navigate to Connectors.

Step 2: Add the Realastat connector

Click Add Custom Connector. In the URL field, paste the Realastat MCP endpoint:

https://realastat.ai/api/mcp

Click Connect or Save. Claude will redirect you to Realastat to sign in and authorize access.

๐Ÿ“ธScreenshot placeholder: The Add Custom Connector dialog in Claude showing the URL field filled in with https://realastat.ai/api/mcp. Show the field populated and the Connect button ready to click.
Paste the MCP URL and click Connect.

Step 3: Authorize Realastat

After clicking Connect, you will be redirected to the Realastat authorization page. Sign in to your Realastat account if prompted, then click Allow. This grants Claude read and write access to your deal portfolio, scoped strictly to your account.

The connection uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, the same standard used by major platforms. You can revoke access at any time from your Realastat profile.

๐Ÿ“ธScreenshot placeholder: The Realastat OAuth consent screen showing the authorization page. Should show the Realastat logo, a description of what access Claude is requesting (list deals, get deal details, run scenarios, etc.), and an Allow button.
Authorize Realastat to give Claude access to your portfolio.

Step 4: Set up your buy box

Your buy box is the set of criteria Claude uses when searching for or evaluating deals on your behalf. Before you ask Claude to find deals, make sure your buy box is configured in Realastat.

Go to your Realastat dashboard and open Buy Box settings. Set your targets for markets, property types, price range, minimum cash-on-cash return, minimum DSCR, and maximum purchase price. Claude reads this automatically when you ask it to find or screen deals.

๐Ÿ“ธScreenshot placeholder: The Realastat Buy Box settings page showing input fields for: target markets (e.g. Midwest, Southeast), property types (single-family, duplex, triplex), price range ($150k-$400k), minimum cash-on-cash return (8%), minimum DSCR (1.2), and max purchase price. Show a partially filled-in form.
Configure your buy box criteria. Claude reads these when screening deals.

What Claude can now do

With the connection active, open a new Claude conversation and try any of these:

  • "List my deals" โ€” Claude returns your full portfolio with key metrics
  • "What is the cash flow on the duplex in Columbus?" โ€” Claude pulls live underwriting data
  • "Run a scenario on that deal at 7.5% interest" โ€” Claude models the change without modifying your saved deal
  • "Which of my deals has the highest DSCR?" โ€” Claude searches and sorts your portfolio
  • "Star the Columbus duplex" โ€” Claude marks it as a favorite in your portfolio
  • "Find me 3 deals under $300k in Indianapolis that match my buy box" โ€” Claude searches listings, runs underwriting, and surfaces the ones that pencil
๐Ÿ“ธScreenshot placeholder: A Claude conversation showing a user asking 'What is the cash flow on the duplex in Columbus?' and Claude responding with a structured breakdown showing monthly cash flow, DSCR, cash-on-cash return, cap rate, and break-even rent pulled live from Realastat. The response should look like real underwriting data, not a generic AI answer.
Claude returns live underwriting data directly from your Realastat portfolio.

How to use your portfolio to organize deals

Every deal you analyze in Realastat is saved to your dashboard automatically. You can sort by cash flow, cash-on-cash return, list price, or DSCR. Star your top candidates and filter to favorites when you are ready to go deeper.

Claude can interact with this portfolio directly. Ask it to compare two deals, rank your starred deals by cash-on-cash return, or find deals in a specific market. Your portfolio becomes a searchable database that Claude can query in plain English.

Using Claude Code CLI instead of claude.ai

If you use Claude Code, the command-line version of Claude, add the Realastat MCP server with one command:

claude mcp add realastat --transport http https://realastat.ai/api/mcp

Then start a Claude session with /mcp and select Realastat to authenticate.

The Realastat MCP integration is included with all plans at no extra charge. You need a separate Claude subscription at claude.ai to use it.
